She was honored in June, 2011 by Commercial Real Estate Women-Los Angeles as a “Woman at the Top.” Her other accomplishments include Chair of the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Associaiton and, membership on the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. She has been selected by Los Angeles Magazine as a Southern California Super Lawyer each year from 2006-2011.

What’s New: August, 2011:

Norma Williams was honored by Commercial Real Estate Women –Los Angeles (CREW-LA) on June 22, 2011 as one of its three “Women at the Top.”

Legislation adapting the Uniform Assignment of Rents Act (“Uniform Act”) to Texas practice (Texas Senate Bill 998) became Texas law in June, 2011. The Uniform Act was modeled on California Civil Code Section 2938 drafted by a Committee chaired by Ms. Williams and Ms. Williams also participated in the drafting of the Uniform Act. Prior state enactments of the Uniform Act have been in Nevada (2007), Utah (2008) and New Mexico (March, 2011).
